Dr. iur., LL.M. (London), Rechtsanwalt in Cologne; National Correspondent for Germany to UNCITRAL; he acts regularly as arbitrator in national and international cases and has widely published in the field of arbitration and international business law. Inter alia he is co-author of "Comparative International Commercial Arbitration" and author of the country report Germany in the ICCA-Handbook. He is a member of the board of editors of the "International Arbitration Law Review" and of "Internationales Handelsrecht (IHR)". He graduated from Cologne University where he also received his doctorate and holds a Master of Laws from the University of London. He is Visiting Reader at the School of Arbitration, CCLS at QM in London and lectures regularly on arbitration and international business law for the University of Cologne, the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and the University of California, Davis (US).
