Qualifications; BE (Chem. Eng) MSc (Petroleum Eng) LLM (Resource Law and Policy), PGDip ICA, PhD (Investment Arbitration Law).

Dr. Clancy has spent some 30 years in oil and gas field technical and economic advisory, largely in the acquisition and development of oil and gas fields worldwide.

In 2012 he was awarded a PhD by Dundee CEPMLP for a thesis "An Algorithm to Value ICSID Claims" supervised by Prof. Thomas Wälde/Dr. Melaku Desta. This study developed a valuation model for new ICSID claims using case characterisation, based on correlations developed from ICSID case histories.
