Dr. Federico Ortino
Profile
Dr Federico Ortino is a Lecturer in International Economic Law in the School of Law at King's College London. He joined King's in 2007. He is a member of the ILA Committee on International Trade Law and co-rapporteur to the ILA Committee on the Law of Foreign Investment. His research interests centre on international economic law focusing in particular on WTO law, international investment law and arbitration and EU internal market law.
Previously, Dr Ortino was Fellow in International Economic Law and Director, Investment Treaty Forum at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London (2005-2007); Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Florence and Trento (2002-2007); Emile Noël Fellow and Fulbright Scholar at the NYU Jean Monnet Center in New York (2004); Legal Officer at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (2003). He is a qualified attorney in Italy and in the state of New York. He holds an LLB, University of Florence; LLM, Georgetown University Law Center; and PhD, European University Institute.
