Introduction

This article provides general guidelines with respect to the principal milestones in achieving commercial operation in power plants. This article also includes a guideline on dispute resolution, which sometimes follows commercial operation. It is a reflection of the authors' operational experience, as well as of the technical terms and conditions and performance standards typically found in power plant construction contracts.
