Summary
This article gives an overview of the most recent Swiss case law developments on issues of
impartiality and independence of arbitrators. It shows that by applying for the first time the
IBA Guidelines of Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration the Swiss Supreme Court is
strengthening its open minded approach towards transnational law sources, thus further
contributing to the attractiveness of international arbitration in Switzerland.
