About a week ago, in Siag v. Republic of Egypt, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued an Order with respect to the process for enforcing an arbitral award issued by a tribunal convened under the Italy-Egypt BIT and the ICSID Convention. The full decision by Judge Castel is now available on TDM. In the enforcement proceedings, Siag and Vecchi sought judgment in the amount of $132,976,364.12, representing an arbitral award amount of $74,550,794.75, plus interest and expenses.
