Introduction

On November 17, 2009, Transparency International published the results of the latest version of the Corruption Perceptions Index, an index that seeks to classify the countries of the world according to their levels of perceived corruption.[1] The Corruption Perceptions Index is one of the most well-known tools to be employed in the international effort to fight corruption, a movement that has gained a significant amount of momentum in recent years.[2]
