Diversity: an institutional and substantive choice?

For about a decade, we have not known whether the current approach to international investment arbitration is in need for overhaul and reform. What we do know is that, if needed, such a reform will only succeed if it is backed by a broad consensus of States from all regions; academic discussion on the point is useful, but the call must be made by States around the world. Of course, a meaningful discussion first has to agree on the relevant policy in question and on the nature and substance of an intended reform.
