Abstract

This article surveys the landscape in relation to investment treaty arbitration, with a focus on recent developments and emerging trends in the Asia-Pacific region. One of the themes which will be explored is the extensive network of bilateral investment treaties (BITs) within the region as well as numerous multilateral agreements containing investment chapters.
