On May 30, 2012 the plaintiffs, Daniel Carlos Luistand Yaiguaje et al., filed an action in the Ontario Superior Court seeking enforcement of the January 3, 2012 $18.2 billion judgment of the Provincial Court of Justice of Sucumbios in Ecuador against Chevron Corp. The statement of claim names Chevron Canada Limited and Chevron Canada Finance Limited, subsidiaries of Chevron Corp., as additional defendants.
