Abstract

A transnational dispute entails various legal proceedings in multiple jurisdictions. This kind of highly complex litigation requires more extensive case management than ordinary litigation. The very outcome can depend on how the case is managed. General counsel who can obtain a complete overview of the case, including the local laws, the local dynamics and the local oddities, are able to make well-informed decisions and thus have a clear advantage over less prepared and less equipped opponents.
