Abstract

This article examines the prevailing trends in investor-state disputes in the energy and natural resources sector in Africa. In particular, it explores the variety of measures that governments have deployed over the last decade to maximise their title to, returns on, or profit from, their nation's natural resources, and the impact that has had on foreign investors.
