Abstract

During the last years, Colombia has been taking steps forward in order to consolidate itself as an attractive seat for international arbitration and, from a broader point of view, to attract direct foreign investment flows to its expanding economy. Within this broader spectrum, the country has pointed its efforts to strengthen arbitration as a mean of unburdening its very busy judicial system, promoting efficiency in dispute resolution and lowering transactional costs for businesses.
