Abstract

This article discusses how Central Asia has emerged as one of the most influential energy-producing regions in the world. Economic development in the area exposes countless new legal questions involving international energy law, the rights of investors and sovereign states, the legal instruments governing energy, and the dispute resolution mechanisms available to conflicting parties.
