Abstract

This article examines the modernisation of the Energy Charter Treaty from an institutional perspective. It first considers whether this phase of modernisation is different from previous evolutions in the Energy Charter Process and then considers what, if any, impact the potential modernisation of the Energy Charter Treaty may have on the institutional framework of the Energy Charter Process.
