Introduction

In the present article, the authors will first provide an overview of the Malaysian international investment regime. They will then review the scope of application, the standards of protection and ISDS provisions under (i) the CPTPP and (ii) the Malaysian investment treaties with other CPTPP member-States to understand how ratification of the CPTPP would affect Malaysia's international investment regime (Part B).
