My perspective is rather academic than practitioner orientated. There has not been to my knowledge much analysis or insight into the possibility of an appellate process from a developing country perspective in the investment sphere. Some insights may be gleaned from the WTO Working Group on the Relationship Between Trade and Investment, which is currently looking on the relationship of trade and investment --- and in particular dispute settlement in this area.
