A recent judgment of a Geneva court might be of interest to those among us who are involved in arbitration proceedings in Switzerland and/or subject to Swiss arbitration law. Since Switzerland hosts many international arbitration proceedings, it is not rare for applications for a stay of the arbitration based on pending court proceedings abroad to be brought before the Swiss courts or arbitral tribunals sitting in Switzerland.
