At an Extraordinary Meeting held on 19 June 2001, the Administrative Council[1] of the Permanent Court of Arbitration adopted by consensus the Optional Rules for Arbitration of Disputes Relating to Natural Resources and/or the Environment (‘Environmental Arbitration Rules’).
