Introduction

In the 15 years since the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration adopted the ICC Rules for a Pre-Arbitral Referee Procedure (www.iccwbo.org/court/eng- english/ pre-arbitral/all-topics.as lish/aspp), only a handful of requests for urgent provisional or conservatory measures have actually been made under that procedure. Th at situation, however, may soon begin to change.
