Introduction

In this article, the author has provided summaries and excerpts of interesting parts of the recent ICSID award, Noble Ventures, Inc. (Claimant) v. Romania, which was brought under the US-Romania BIT (the "BIT") (Members of the Tribunal: Prof. Karl-Heinz Böckstiegel, President; Sir Jeremy Lever, KCMG, QC and Prof. Pierre-Marie Dupuy, Arbitrators).
