Introduction

You can download the text of the legislation implementing the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards in 1958 ("the New York Convention") into Pakistani law promulgated on 14 July 2005 at the end of this article. Although strictly speaking, the law is currently in the form of an ordinance and therefore will be in effect for a period of six months, in accordance with general legislative practice in Pakistan it will soon take the form of an Act once parliament comes into session later in the year.
