Executive Summary

Young-OGEMID's eighteen Virtual Symposium ("Symposium") revolved around Maritime Arbitration and Mediation which is a specialized area of practice covering disputes over issues such as contracts, cargo, charter parties, insurance, salvage, and collisions. The Symposium gathered four experts in this area to elaborate on topics including "Theory, Law and Practice of Maritime Arbitration", the Permanent Court of Arbitration "Sea Search Armada v. Colombia" case, recent developments in "Maritime Mediation", and more.

The Symposium, which was moderated by Professor S.I. Strong, included the following panelists: Dr. Eva Litina, Dr. Poomintr Sooksripaisarnkit, Dr. Kleopatra Koutouzi, and Professor Martin J. Davies.
