Introduction
This judgment concerns an application by Julian Moroney and Damien Murran as joint liquidators ("the joint liquidators") of two companies, GTLK Europe DAC and GTLK Europe Capital DAC (together "the Companies") for orders seeking to restrain the respondent ("JSC") from progressing three sets of proceedings in a separate jurisdiction, Russia, a so-called anti-suit injunction.
The Companies are part of a group of companies operating an international transport leasing business known as the GTLK Europe Group. GTLK Europe Group is a division of a wider group of GTLK companies that are ultimately owned and controlled by JSC, which is owned by the Russian Federation. The Companies own a large fleet of vehicles, including aircraft, either in their own right or through subsidiaries.
The Companies were placed in liquidation by order of the High Court (Dignam J) on 31 May 2023.

JSC has also issued three separate sets of, almost identical, arbitral proceedings against a number of the notice parties to these proceedings, which are wholly owned by GTLKE, and against GTLKE itself ("the arbitral proceedings") before the Arbitration Centre of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs ("the Arbitral Tribunal"). Awards have been made in each of the arbitrations ("the arbitration awards").
Finally, proceedings issued before the Arbitrazh Court of Moscow ("the Moscow Court") against the joint liquidators, GTLKE and GTLK subsidiaries seeking a mandatory injunction requiring the joint liquidators to revoke correspondence it has sent to various airports and airlines regarding the aircraft the subject of the purported pledge agreements and the pledge orders ("the mandatory injunction proceedings"). Those proceedings were due to be heard on 30 July 2025, shortly after the hearing of the application the subject of these proceedings but, it seems, did not go ahead on that date. The mandatory injunction proceedings are next listed before the Moscow Court on 8 October 2025.
I will refer to the all the foregoing proceedings together as "the Russian proceedings".
