This appeal arises out of a decision by the Trial Judge to set aside an arbitral award. The arbitrators were appointed by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and comprised two Kings Counsel, one nominated by each party and a presiding arbitrator appointed by the LCIA (together referred to as "the panel" or "the Tribunal"). The partial award issued by the arbitrators comprised over two hundred pages. It was detailed and thorough, and the product of days of hearings and evidence from several witnesses, as well as examination of hundreds of documents, by a very experienced panel of arbitrators.
