Summary

1. This judgment follows the trial on 19 June 2026 of the Claimant's claim for a final order restraining the Defendant from continuing proceedings in Russia alleged to be vexatious and oppressive.

2. As set out in section (C) below, the Defendant did not appear, and was not represented, at the trial, which followed the making of an interim anti-suit order on 23 April 2026 with which the Defendant failed to comply and to which it made no response.

3. Having heard and read the evidence submitted at trial, and having heard oral submissions from counsel for the Claimant, I concluded that the Claimant was entitled to the final order sought, as well as certain ancillary orders. I therefore made those orders, with reasons to follow. This judgment, which it has been necessary to produce in very short order in the light of proceedings elsewhere, sets out my reasons.
