Summary

This arbitration claim comprises applications made under sections 67 and 68 of the Arbitration Act 1996 ("the Act") to a Partial Final Award dated 31 October 2025 ("the Award") made by an LCIA arbitration tribunal comprising three well-known and experienced international arbitrators, all of whom are qualified to practise English law (the putative law of any arbitration agreement).

The hearing was heard in private and at the start of the hearing, I made an order dated 17 June 2026 limiting the access of non-parties to the documents defined therein as the “Confidential Documents” without the permission of the Court. I did so in light of the implied obligation of confidentiality in relation to arbitrations under English law and on the basis that the dispute which is the subject of this arbitration claim involves a family dispute between members of a prominent family which, if it became known, could have a significant impact on the reputation of the parties involved and their business interests.
