Summary

The claimant has applied by HC/SUM 793/2026 ("SUM 793") brought in HC/OA 302/2024 ("OA 302") for an order committing the second respondent to prison for contempt of court. The claimant's case is that the second respondent has intentionally disobeyed three orders of the General Division of the High Court.

I have found the second respondent guilty of contempt of court in respect of all three court orders. I have therefore committed him to prison for a term of six months. The second respondent has appealed against my decision. These are the grounds for my decision.

Contempt of Court - Civil contempt - Breach of freezing order and asset disclosure orders enforcing arbitral orders under s 12(6) of the International Arbitration Act 1994 - Sentencing - Committal to prison - Consequential orders
