Results 9th FDI Moot Globals - Buenos Aires

On November 6th 2016 the 9th edition of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot concluded at the University of Buenos Aires. 53 teams (with 260 students and coaches) had travelled to Argentina from almost 100 including those that did not qualify through the regional in Nairobi, New Delhi and Seoul.
The Paris Bar School prevailed over Harvard Law School in the 2016 final. We were honoured to have in the final tribunal professors Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler, Guido Tawil and Raul Vinuesa. The best advocate of the final was Nicolas Pralica (Paris).
Megha Mehrotra (NALSAR University, India) received the Thomas Wälde Award for best advocate in the preliminary rounds, as well as the Manuela Beltran cash prize (sponsored by Jose Manuel Alvarez Zarate) for the best woman advocate.
The Highest Ranked team (combined advocacy and memorial scores) was Universitas Gadjah Mada from Indonesia. The best memorials were submitted by St Petersburg State University (Claimant) and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Respondent). The top 3 claimant and respondent memorials will be made available on TDM later this year.
