20 March 2012
Update July 2013: Daniel Behn successfully completed his doctoral thesis on Tuesday 16th July 2013.
Participation in this study will be conducted in strict confidence. At no time will participant identities be revealed.
Daniel Behn, a PhD candidate at the University of Dundee, is conducting a study on the fairness discourse in investment treaty arbitration.
This study is not a typical questionnaire; rather, it asks the participant to sort through a number of subjective statements (a process called Q sorting) on issues of fairness in investment treaty arbitration and to rank order them in relation to each other. The study seeks to improve our understanding on how values shape and influence the way that we approach legal problems in investment treaty arbitration.
