Eduardo is a JD (with honors) from Universidad del Rosario with post graduate studies in financial law in the same university and in international dispute resolution at University of London, Queen Mary.
He was appointed by the President of the World Bank to the 10 member ICSID panel of arbitrators. He is Vice President of the ICC Court of Arbitration and member of the LCIA Court.
He has acted as counsel and as arbitrator in commercial arbitrations under the rules of ICC, ICDR, IACAC, UNCITRAL and the rules of several other institutions elsewhere. He has acted as advisor, chair and co arbitrator in investment cases under ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC and in annulment committees under ICSID.
He has been professor of law in international contracts and international dispute resolution. He has lectured in international arbitration courses organized by several universities and academic institutions and has taken part in various seminars and conferences in Europe, Asia, the United States and Latin America.
