Mallory Silberman's practice focuses primarily on dispute resolution between multinational corporations and sovereign States.
In addition to representing sovereigns in international commercial arbitration proceedings and US litigation proceedings, Ms. Silberman has particular experience in investment treaty disputes before the World-Bank-affiliated International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She has represented investors and the governments of 10 different sovereign States in more than 20 ICSID and ICSID Additional Facility disputes (arising under bilateral investment treaties, NAFTA, or the Energy Charter Treaty). In total, Ms. Silberman has served as counsel in approximately 30 investor-State disputes. Ms. Silberman speaks Spanish and Italian, and reads basic French and Portuguese.
