Kristin Campbell-Wilson is the Secretary General of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC).
Since the 1970's, the SCC has emerged as one of the most important and frequently used arbitration institutions worldwide, with a particular focus on efficiency and innovation in arbitration.
Based in Stockholm, Kristin joined the SCC in 2012 as Deputy Secretary General after 9 years in private practice, most recently as a member of the dispute resolution team of a large international law firm. In her previous role as Deputy Secretary General, she headed the case management team and was responsible for the daily operations and the development of institutional rules and procedures. The team administers an annual case load of ca 200 commercial and investor-state disputes, with parties from ca 40 jurisdictions. In addition, Kristin has been actively involved in business development activities, taking responsibility for specific projects such as the development and launch of the SCC Platform - a digital platform for secure filesharing and communication in arbitration proceedings - and the development of a new dispute resolution tool launched in 2021 - SCC Express. Kristin is also frequently engaged as speaker and moderator at domestic and international events on arbitration related issues.
Kristin is currently a member of the Board of the Swedish Anti-Corruption Institute (IMM) and joined the IBA International Commercial Arbitration Case Law Subcommittee as a member in 2018. Kristin was previously a member of the IBA Arb40 Steering Committee (2016-2017) and a member of the Board of Young Arbitrators Sweden (2013-2019).
