Enyinnaya Uwadi is a qualified Competition and Energy Lawyer with a track record of academic excellence. He holds an MBA (Distinction) from the Roehampton Business School London, a Master of Laws degree (Distinction) in International Commercial Law with Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Reading, as well as another Master of Laws (Energy Law) degree from the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, University of Ibadan. He graduated among the top one percentile of his class both at the University of Abuja, Nigeria, and the Nigerian Law School.
His professional work experience cuts across Nigeria and the United Kingdom where he has worked with reputable organisations, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Hogan Lovells International LLP.
He is a recipient of numerous awards which include the prestigious Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship, University of East Anglia Ph.D. Studentship, Roehampton University International Excellence Scholarship, Niger Delta Development Commission Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship, and the University of Reading General Scholarship. He belongs to several professional organizations like the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, International Law Association, Chartered Management Institute, Association for Project Management, Society for Advanced Legal Studies, Nigerian Bar Association, Society of Petroleum Engineers.
As a competition and energy lawyer, Enyinnaya has consulted for numerous clients whose businesses span across various economic sectors. He has also advised several multinational companies on the implications of the new Nigerian Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Enyinnaya is a leading scholar in Nigerian Competition Law and has published numerous articles in reputable international professional and academic journals, of which two were shortlisted for the Antitrust Writing Awards 2020, organized by Concurrences Review and the George Washington University Law School Competition Law Center.
