Raúl Pereira Fleury

Mr Pereira Fleury is a Senior Associate with Ferrere's Corporate Group in Asunción, Paraguay. He also works closely with the Arbitration Group in international commercial and investment arbitration. He has experience representing companies, financial institutions, and public entities in corporate transactions, including loans, joint venture agreements, non-disclosure agreements, stock purchase, distribution and licensing agreements, and construction and technology service contracts.
Before joining Ferrere, Raúl was a trainee with Shearman & Sterling's International Arbitration Group in Paris, where he worked in international arbitration, both ad hoc and institutional, with a focus on international investment, renewable energy, oil and gas, and construction and corporate contracts; and under a number of rules and institutions, such as the UNCITRAL Rules, the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), and the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS).
He holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Asuncion, Paraguay, as well as an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from the American University Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C., where he specialized in International Arbitration and International Business Law. During his LL.M., he participated in the Fourth LLM International Arbitration Moot Competition, where he reached the final round and received an honorable mention as speaker.
Mr Pereira Fleury has published articles and short pieces for leading journals and blogs, such as Arbitration International, the American Review of International Arbitration, and Kluwer Arbitration Blog, and has contributed to the International Arbitration Case Law project.
