Stephanie Cohen is a Canadian international arbitrator based in New York City.
Stephanie serves as tribunal chair, sole arbitrator, and co-arbitrator with arbitrator appointments under the ICC, ICDR, AAA, Society of Maritime Arbitrators, and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. She has also acted for the ICDR and ICC as emergency arbitrator, and is among the first thirty emergency arbitrators to have been appointed by the ICC. She is a member of the ICDR International Panel of Arbitrators and the AAA's Commercial Roster (including its Roster for Large, Complex Cases), as well as CPR's Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. Previously, Stephanie was Counsel in the international arbitration and commercial litigation practice groups at White & Case LLP in New York where she represented clients in complex, high-value disputes before international arbitration tribunals and courts. She is dually qualified as a lawyer in New York and Ontario, Canada.
Stephanie is ranked as an international arbitrator in the 2019 Chambers USA Guide and also features in Who's Who Legal: Arbitration-Future Leaders (2017-2019), which recognizes the foremost international arbitration practitioners under the age of 45. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Vice Chair of the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Co-Chair of the International Dispute Resolution Committee of the NYSBA's Dispute Resolution Section, a member of the ICC Commission's Task Force on Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings, and a member of the ICCA-CPR-NYC Bar Association Working Group on Cybersecurity in International Arbitration.
