Salim Moollan is qualified and experienced both in England & Wales and in the Republic of Mauritius. A full time tenant at Essex Court Chambers since 1999, he is also a member of the leading Mauritian set of Chambers (the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan QC) and regularly advises and acts for foreign investors and large regional commercial concerns in the Indian Ocean region. He has a broad based commercial practice, specialising in international and commercial arbitration and litigation, in particular in the energy and telecommunications fields. He is a native French speaker and holds degrees from the French Ecole Polytechnique and from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. He maintains an active link with French arbitration practice through his memberships of the Comité Français de l'Arbitrage and the Institut d'Arbitrage International.
